The American Gastroenterological Association Qualified Clinical Data Registry, in collaboration with CECity, is approved by CMS as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). A QCDR is a registry comprised of PQRS and/or non PQRS-approved measures which qualifies as a CMS-approved reporting tool for PQRS. The American Gastroenterological Association Clinical Data Registry in collaboration with CECity is a QCDR with 19 quality measures designed specifically for gastroenterology practitioners.

Notice: Eligible Professionals seeking to satisfy the clinical quality measure (CQM) component of the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program through the American Gastroenterological Association Qualified Clinical Data Registry must contact CECity to initiate such services. New for 2016, group practices of 2 or more EPs participating via GPRO have the option to report quality measures via a QCDR. A PQRS group practice under 2016 PQRS is defined as a single Tax Identification Number (TIN) with 2 or more individual EPs who have reassigned their billing rights to the TIN. PQRS group practices are analyzed at the TIN level; therefore, all EPs (NPIs) under the group's TIN will be taken into account for the 2016 PQRS analysis.

Eligible professionals that choose to participate in the PQRS as a group practice must inform CMS of their election by registering to participate in the 2016 PQRS GPRO between April 1, 2016 and June 30, 2016. This is an annual election and participation in the PQRS as a group in years prior is not carried forward. Registration must be completed online through the Physician Value Modifier (PV) - PQRS Registration System. The American Gastroenterological Association Qualified Clinical Data Registry in collaboration with CECity, is currently accepting data from Eligible Providers (EPs), to fulfill the Meaningful Use EHR Incentive Programs Public Health Objective, Measure 3, submission of data for specialized registry reporting. To meet this objective EPs are requested to electronically submit data from Certified Electronic Health Record Technology (CEHRT) to the American Gastroenterological Association Qualified Clinical Data Registry.
